Dr. Thomas Voland is partner of the international law firm Clifford Chance. He has been advising national and international clients on complex regulatory, environmental and compliance issues for approx. 14 years – with a focus on the technology, mobility / infrastructure and financial sectors. In particular, he specializes in risk-related issues, namely ESG and cyber. He has helped clients draft ESG policies, set up ESG-related management systems and conduct ESG due diligence assessments.
Thomas is a member of Clifford Chance’s Global ESG Board and Global Tech Group. Moreover, Thomas is a member of the Committee on “Corporate Social Responsibility and Compliance” of the German Lawyers’ Association. In addition to his practice as a lawyer, Dr. Voland is lecturer for European and public international law at the University of Leipzig and author of numerous publications, esp. on business and human rights issues and ESG more broadly.
