Greg Zavorotniy is a seasoned investment manager with over 15 years of experience in investment banking, equity investing and operations in the energy, mining and technology sectors. He began his career at Citigroup in New York and Deutsche Bank in London, where he advised companies in the US and Europe on mergers, acquisitions and equity financings. Zavorotniy was also a director at a family office with investments in Africa. In 2017, he co-founded RoundPier, a networking and career development platform for students. In 2021, he joined BayWa r.e. Energy Ventures as Investment Director and took over the position of Managing Director in 2022. Under his leadership, the unit was transformed into rEnergy Partners in 2025, an independent investment firm focusing on cleantech start-ups.
