WALK AROUND CAMPUS STRAUBING

CREATING POSITIVE IMPACT

The exploitation of fossil resources, environmental degradation, and the associated climate change will affect us all, forcing us to fundamentally rethink our approach to business and our day-to-day lives. That makes the search for raw materials and energy sources that are environmentally and climate-friendly a vital area of study and research for anyone who cares about the future of the planet.

FOCUSSING ON WHAT MATTERS

At Campus Straubing, research and teaching on cultivation, chemical-material use, and energy recovery, as well as on economic aspects related to the production, marketing, and use of renewable raw materials lie at the heart of our work. Professors, researchers, and students focus on the use of renewable resources and the development of sustainable technologies as well as on their economic implementation.

PUTTING INSIGHTS INTO PRACTICE

The campus puts its commitment to energy and environmental efficiency into practice: The new, 40-million-euro laboratory and lecture hall building, built on stilts on the banks of the Danube, is an energy-efficient building constructed using environmentally friendly, low-emission, and regenerative resources!

THE PERFECT RESEARCH HUB

Other institutions located on site include the Technology and Support Center (TFZ), the Central Agricultural Raw Material Marketing and Energy Network (C.A.R.M.E.N. e.V.), and the Fraunhofer Institute. This close proximity to other important bodies makes it the perfect place for sharing insights and developing professional opportunities.
